School Closed due to weather

School is closed today January 19th due to inclement weather.

Our field trip the NW Puppet Theater has been rescheduled to next Wednesday.  Please let us know if you can chaperone.

We will determine possible school closure in the early morning.

All school and activities cancelled today, January 18th.

We will start as usual on Tuesday, January 17th. Morning and afternoon programs running as normal.

We have had a wonderful start to our 2010-2011 school year.  The Back to School potluck was well attended, our new pottery studio is up and running and the children are excited for our trip to the Pumpkin Patch this month.

There are still some spaces so if know of someone who would like to come check out our school please let them know.

Our Galette de Roi celebration will take place a noon on Monday, January 10th.  Please let me know if you want to come: asabarots@lesenfantsdeseattle.com

Beginning Wednesday, October 6th from 6:30-8pm, Les Enfants de Seattle will be offering French classes for adults.  Classes will take place every other Wednesday through December for a total of six classes.   If the group decides to meet more frequently that is an option.  Classes take place October 6th, 20th, November 3rd, 17th, December 1st and 15th.  Cost is $75 per individual or couple.  This class is to encourage the adults to speak French with their children.  A change from the past, we request that only adults come so we focuss on learning the language. Our amazing teacher, Effie, will teach. She has tons of experience, including many years at the Alliance Francais.  This class will be more focussed and structured then in the past and might even have homework!:) Cost is $75 for the series.  We need five individuals/couples to make this work.  Please contact Antoinette to register and send $75 made out to Les Enfants de Seattle, 2802 E. A week’s stay in Paris, anyone???

Please join us for our most important fundraiser of the year.

Annually, Les Enfants gives financial assistantce to those families who need it.  We are intentional about being diverse. 

This year our annual Mardi Gras will take place in two ways. Firstly, Friday, February 5th, beginning at 5:30pm our soiree will take place at 2125 First Ave. (Suite 2704) Seattle, WA. 98121. A beautiful location in the Belltown area of downtown Seattle. It You’ll enjoying seeing the ferries and Space Needle from your dining room. Silent auction begins at 5:30pm. Dinner menu includes Louisana Cajun fare by Madre’s Kitchen Catering. No host bar.

On Sunday, February 7th we’ll host our traditional Come one and All event at the school. Like last year, there will be a pinata, parade, and entertainment for all, including Kate, the french clown!. Families are welcomed and bring your neighbors. Questions call 206-321-2107.

Ensuite, le dimanche 7 Février se tiendra à l’école notre traditionnelle fête Come One and All.  Comme l’an dernier il y aura une pinata, une parade et des distractions pour tous y compris avec Kate, la clown française!
